MarCom Gold Awarded to Westminster’s Annual Report Lifestyle Magazine & Book Festival
AUSTIN, Texas (November 15, 2018) – Westminster retirement community earned double MarCom Gold Awards for their “1967 to 2017—50 Years at Westminster, an Austin Original”annual report magazine, and its“Mystery, History and Lore”—Fourth Annual Literary and Film Festival. Both projects were envisioned and managed by the Crossnore Group, a creative communications firm known for its real-life approach to news and events offering an insider’s view of the community.

The annual report magazine details the happenings of the previous year, creating a special narrative that introduces readers to interesting and ambitious people who share different perspectives on the possibilities of retirement—all found at Westminster.
Year-after-year, Westminster hosts one of the largest book festivals for seniors in the country. Capitalizing on Austin’s rich literary community, the festival regularly draws New York Timesbest-selling authors, and screenwriters for motion picture films who discuss works on the page and the big screen. Resident authors also showcase their books at a book fair.
The MarCom Awards recognize outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communication materials and programs. More than 5,000 entries are submitted from throughout the United States, Canada and other countries. MarCom is sponsored and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). Judges look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
