U.S. News & World Report Names Westminster’s Arbour Healthcare Center Among Best in Nation
AUSTIN – JANUARY 16, 2023 − Westminster retirement community’s Arbour Healthcare Center has again been nationally recognized as a Best Nursing Home for 2024 by U.S. News & World Report. Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes ratings have assisted consumers shopping for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care for themselves or a family member.
Westminster’s 85-bed Arbour at Westminster Healthcare Center received a top 5/5 rating. Westminster earned its U.S. News Best Nursing Home status by achieving a rating of “High Performing,” the highest possible rating for Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care in the country. U.S. News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those that satisfy the publication’s assessment of consistent performance in quality measures.

According to Anthony Jackson, Certified Nursing Assistant at the Arbour Healthcare Center, Westminster is a truly rewarding place to work both personally and professionally. As a new associate, Jackson was recently nominated for the prestigious Tauri Award for his optimism and dedication to teamwork that keeps the morale strong at the community’s Healthcare Center. “I love coming to work each day and enjoy my interaction with co-workers and residents who rely on us for care. For the 2024 edition, U.S. News rated more than 15,000 nursing homes on patient and resident outcomes, such as staffing levels, infection rates; use of antipsychotic drugs; health inspection results, ER visits and re-hospitalization, management stability, and other indicators of quality.

To calculate the Best Nursing Homes ratings, U.S. News evaluated each nursing home’s performance using a variety of quality measures obtained from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The U.S. News methodology factors data such as resident care, safety and outcomes.
