For 12th Consecutive Year Austin American-Statesman Names Westminster As a 2025 Recipient of the Greater Austin “Top Workplaces” Award

Westminster of Austin Tx is a top workplace

November 17, 2025 – For the twelfth consecutive year, Westminster senior living community has earned the Austin-American Statesman’s prestigious “Top Workplaces” award. Since 1967, the community has gained a reputation as a leading employer in Central Texas, offering high workplace satisfaction, generous benefits and opportunities for career advancement through mentoring, training, continued educational and scholarship programs.

“This award is especially meaningful because it is based on genuine feedback from our associates,” said Chuck Borst, executive director of Westminster who has led the community for nearly twenty years and tripled its workforce. “Like our workplace brand motto, this award shows that we truly are ‘Extraordinary, Together’ with a dedicated team of employees who value integrity, and are respected by some 600-plus residents who expect the highest standards of care to live their best life.”

Every year, associates are interviewed by a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. Westminster is classified as a mid-size workplace with 150 to 499 employees. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute meaningful contributions to the workplace.

According to Kim Ogden, Westminster’s longtime director of human resources, associate recruiting is more robust than ever, and the community is always looking for new talent to join its team. “It’s important to give our associates an opportunity to express their views about workplace satisfaction to understand their needs. This confidential survey helps us ensure that our associates are getting the resources they need to advance their careers in the senior living industry, a fast-growing job sector, with a market size of approximately $4.9 billion in 2025,” said Ogden who invited several associates to tell their story.
