Westminster Again Named Top Workplace by Austin American-Statesman
Westminster gains high marks for Positive Work Culture and Career Advancement
November 4, 2019 – AUSTIN, TEXAS – Westminster senior living community, located near downtown Austin, has been recognized by the Austin American-Statesman for the sixth consecutive year as a Top Workplace of Greater Austin. Rated by employees, the Top Workplaces project annually honors 100 area employers scoring exceptionally high marks for overall workplace satisfaction.
“There’s no better feeling than helping others,” says Kim Ogden, Westminster’s director of human resources. “I believe Westminster continues to receive this recognition because our associates truly enjoy their work with our residents. Our door is always open for career advancement. We also offer generous benefits, tuition reimbursement for education and healthcare resources such as a new wellness portal for employees, which adds to workplace satisfaction.”
Westminster encourages its associates to offer feedback to improve its work culture. Thirty-year-old Antonio Montgomery, director of environmental services, says the positive “can-do” “will-do” attitude throughout the community makes him look forward to coming into work each day. “Westminster has some of the best benefits I’ve ever received—it’s a win-win situation for everyone,” he say

Anonymous surveys were conducted by Energage LLC, a third-party research partner. Workers rated employers on issues such as leadership and direction, ethics and values, compensation and professional camaraderie. Top employers were highlighted in the Austin American-Statesman on Nov. 3, 2019.
